2PAC MURDER SUSPECT KEEFE D REPORTEDLY TARGETED BY JAIL ATTACKS

In a recent interview with Bomb1st published on Friday (November 17), Reggie, who previously worked at Suge Knight’s Tha Row Records and whose father was a gang enforcer in the Los Angeles Sheriff Department’s Operation Safe Streets unit in Compton, alleged that Keefe D has already been attacked multiple times in jail while awaiting trial. “He’s been jumped about three times in there, and I got that confirmed from a very reliable source,” he said. “But it’s nothing serious—just some kicks and punches. He’ll face much worse once the inmates find out he was calling them soft. That audio is still out there; he better call Vlad and get it taken down.” Keefe D, whose real name is Duane Davis, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of the rap icon, who was shot in Las Vegas in September 1996 following a Mike Tyson fight. He appeared in court on November 7 with his public defenders and will remain in custody until his trial, which is scheduled for June 3, 2024. His attorneys, Charles Cano and Robert Arroyo, have indicated that they plan to seek bail for Keefe D before the trial but did not provide additional comments outside the courtroom. Although Nevada has the death penalty, prosecutors have stated they will not seek it if Keefe D is convicted. Now 60 and claiming to have cancer, Keefe D is the only individual ever charged in connection with Tupac's murder after his arrest in September. Despite pleading not guilty, he has made several claims over the years about orchestrating Tupac's shooting, including details in his 2019 book, *Compton Street Legend*. Prosecutors in Nevada allege that Tupac was involved in a casino altercation with Orlando Anderson, a known Crips gang member and Keefe D’s nephew, on the night of the shooting. Anderson is believed to have been in the car with Keefe D during the drive-by, with some accounts identifying him as the shooter. He was killed in a separate gang-related shooting in 1998. Suge Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter and was also injured in the shooting of Tupac. In an interview with TMZ from prison, he commented on Keefe D's arrest, stating that he would not testify against him if called to the stand during the trial.
